Eisenhower Matrix Task Prioritizer
Decide what to do first. Add tasks and mark them urgent or important, and they land in one of four boxes: do first, schedule, delegate or limit, and drop or postpone. Add a due date, priority and notes, and let tasks due within a few days become urgent on their own. Search, sort, edit, move tasks with a menu, undo mistakes, and export or import a backup. Tasks are saved only in this browser, never sent anywhere.
Runs in your browser. Tasks are saved only in this browser's local storage and are never sent to a server.
Notes, due date and priority

Delegate or limit
Urgent, not important
Drop or postpone

Importing replaces the current list, and you can undo it.
Tasks are saved only in this browser. Clearing site data removes them. Nothing is sent to a server.
How it works
- Type a task and tick Urgent and Important as they apply. Add a due date, priority or notes if you want.
- Read the four boxes. Use Move to, or the Urgent and Important buttons, as things change.
- Optionally turn on the automatic urgency window, search, sort, or hide completed tasks.
- Undo any change, or export a JSON or CSV copy.
Options explained
- Automatic urgency
- Treats open tasks due within the number of days you choose (and overdue ones) as urgent, and says so on the task.
- Undo
- Reverses the last change, up to the last 20.
- Export and import
- JSON backs up everything. CSV is for spreadsheets. Importing replaces the list and can be undone.
Example
“Submit essay draft” is urgent and important, so it goes in Do first. “Start revising for the midterm” is important but not urgent, so it goes in Schedule. With a two-day automatic window it would move to Do first when its due date gets close.
Tips for better results
- Be strict about urgent: if nothing bad happens when it waits a day, it is probably not urgent.
- Aim to spend most of your time in Schedule. Important work done before it becomes urgent is calmer and better.
- Review the matrix at the start of each day and move tasks that have become urgent.
- Keep task names short and specific, for example 'Outline essay section 2' rather than 'Essay'.
Limitations
- You decide what is urgent and important. The tool sorts, it does not judge.
- Tasks live only in this browser on this device. There is no sync or reminder.
- Up to 500 tasks.
