Pomodoro Focus Timer
Work in focused blocks with a timer that stays accurate even when your tab is in the background or your laptop sleeps. Set your focus and break lengths, pick the task you are working on, and watch a daily goal and a seven-day history build up. If you close the page mid-session, it picks up where it left off. Optional notifications and a short beep tell you when a session ends. Settings, tasks and history are saved only on this device.

Ambient sound
Sound starts only when you press a button, and “Off” stops it. The sounds are generated in your browser.
How it works
- Set your focus, short break and long break lengths, and after how many sessions the long break comes.
- Add tasks and press Focus on the one you are working on.
- Press Start. The timer counts down; pause, reset or skip any time.
- When a session ends you hear a beep and, if you allowed it, see a notification. Turn on auto-start to roll into the break.
- Check Today and Last 7 days to see sessions and minutes, and compare with your daily goal.
Options explained
- Long break after every N sessions
- Changes when the longer break comes. The default is every 4 sessions.
- Daily goal
- The number of focus sessions you aim for each day. Set 0 for no goal.
- Auto-start
- Starts the next session or break automatically when one finishes.
- Notifications
- Asks your browser for permission only when you switch it on, then shows a notice when a session ends.
- Ambient sound
- Generated rain, café or lo-fi hum that starts only when you press a button.
How the result is worked out
- The timer stores an end time and works out what is left from the clock, so throttled background tabs and sleep do not make it drift.
- A session counts on the day it finishes. Skipping a session counts nothing. A session that ended while the page was closed is counted once.
Example
With 25-minute sessions and a goal of 4, you finish a session and the page shows 1 of 4 sessions today, 25 focus minutes, and 1 session on the task you chose. After four sessions the next break is the long one.
Tips for better results
- Write down the single task for each session before you press start.
- Lengthen the focus period for deep reading and shorten it for tasks you are avoiding.
- Take the breaks. They help later sessions stay productive.
- Settings and tasks are saved only in this browser, so they disappear if you clear site data.
Limitations
- Notifications and the beep only work while the page is open in your browser.
- Data is stored in this browser only. Another device or browser starts empty.
- The history keeps the most recent 90 days.

Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep running in a background tab?
Yes. It works from the end time, so it stays accurate when the tab is hidden.
What if my laptop sleeps?
When you come back the timer shows the real time left, or counts the session once if it finished while you were away.
Can I change the Pomodoro lengths?
Yes. Focus, short break, long break and the long-break interval are all adjustable.
Is my history private?
Yes. It stays on this device. Use Clear history or Clear tasks and counter to remove it.
