Use of the tools

The tools and guides are provided free, as is, without warranties. Results are aids and estimates. You are responsible for checking them against your institution's requirements and for your own academic integrity. See also the disclaimer.

What the tools do not do

• They do not detect plagiarism and do not certify that any work meets a university's rules.
• Citation output, estimates and plans can contain errors. Verify them.
• Page and reading-time figures are approximate.

Your content

Notes, documents and other material you enter remain yours. For tools that run in your browser they are not sent to us. See the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, overload the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without permission.
• Do not submit unlawful content, or content you have no right to process.
• Do not use the tools to cheat or breach your institution's academic integrity rules.

Access may be limited or blocked to control cost and abuse.

Our content

The text, design and code of MicroTools Hub, including the guides, belong to the site operator. You may link to pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. Please do not copy guides wholesale or republish them as your own.

Third-party services and links

Some features rely on external services (such as Crossref and Open Library) and some pages link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Availability

Features may be limited or unavailable at times. Browser-only tools do not depend on our server once the page has loaded. We may change or remove features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the site, including decisions made using its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
