Privacy policy: what stays in your browser

No account is needed for any tool. This page explains exactly what each part of MicroTools Hub does with your data, in plain language.

Tools that run in your browser

The grade calculator, target score calculator, word counter, words-to-pages, reading time, roommate splitter, focus dashboard, Eisenhower matrix, study schedule planner, deadline tracker, time block planner, reading goal planner, assignment readiness checker, bibliography organizer, title page generator, thesis format checker, image to text, and the PDF merger, splitter and compressor process your input on your own device. Text, numbers, names, images and files you enter in them are not sent to our server. The citation generator also works in your browser, except for the optional lookups described next.

Image to text (OCR)

The image to text tool reads your image inside your browser tab. The image, its file name and the text found in it are not uploaded, not stored and not added to the page address, and no recognition service or account is involved. The first time you read an image, your browser downloads the open-source Tesseract engine (a worker script, a WebAssembly file and the language file you chose) from this site, not from a third party. Your browser keeps those files in its ordinary cache so later reads start sooner; the cache holds only those public engine files, never your images or text, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Citation lookups

If you use DOI lookup, your browser sends the DOI you typed directly to Crossref (api.crossref.org). If you use ISBN lookup, your browser sends the ISBN to Open Library (openlibrary.org). Like any web request, this exposes your IP address to those services, and they handle it under their own policies. No other text from the page is sent. Manual entry stays on your device.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent by email to the site operator through an email delivery service. They are used only to read and reply to your message, and this site does not keep a copy in a database. The form is available only when the operator has configured it. To limit abuse, a salted hash of your network address (rotated daily) is used to rate limit requests; the raw address is not stored by this application.

What is stored in your browser

Everything below is kept in your browser's local storage on this device. It is not a cookie, is never sent to us or to any other service, and is not synced to other devices. Files you choose, such as PDFs, Word documents and images, are never stored.

Saved automatically

• Focus dashboard: timer settings, tasks, the session counter, a seven-day history and a running session's end time, so a reload or sleep can be recovered. Delete with “Clear history”, “Reset settings” or “Clear tasks and counter” in the tool.
• Eisenhower matrix: tasks (titles, notes, due dates, priorities) and its settings. Delete with “Clear all tasks” or “Delete saved data”.
• Deadline tracker: deadlines (titles, dates, optional times and course names) and its settings. Delete with “Clear all deadlines”.
• Theme: your light or dark choice. Consent choice: recorded only if a consent banner is ever shown (see below).

Saved only when you press Save

• Grade calculator (courses, scores, weights and grade scale), roommate splitter (people, currency and expenses), citation generator (your bibliography), study schedule planner, time block planner and reading goal planner (your plan and settings), and assignment readiness checker (the requirements you entered). The readiness checker never saves your file, its text, or the name and student number you type to search it.
• Each of these has a “Delete saved…” button next to its Save button, and nothing is loaded until you press Load.

You can remove all of this at any time with the button on the cookies page, or by clearing site data in your browser. Anyone who can use your browser profile can read this data, so avoid saving sensitive plans on a shared computer.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site currently sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no advertising. If that changes, non-essential scripts will load only after you agree, the cookies page will list the providers, and this policy will be updated first. Any analytics events are limited to a tool name and a success or failure outcome, never pasted text, file names, amounts or names.

Hosting

The site is delivered by Vercel. As with any hosting provider, Vercel may process technical request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure, under its own privacy terms.

Your choices and requests

Because we do not keep accounts or store your content, there is usually nothing to delete. To ask a question, request access or deletion of anything you sent us, or report a concern, use the contact form. You can also email hamadali0032@gmail.com.

Changes

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
