About MicroTools Hub
MicroTools Hub is a set of free, separate tools and short guides for everyday academic tasks. Open a page, solve the task, copy or download the result. There is no account, no subscription and no email capture.
Operated by: Hamad Ali.
What you will find here
21 tools covering grades and GPA, final-exam targets, citations and reference lists, title pages, thesis formatting checks, PDF merging, splitting and compression, reading text from images, word and reading-time estimates, a focus timer, task, deadline and study planners, and shared-expense splitting. There are also 16 guides that explain the methods behind them. Browse everything on the tools page or the site map.
How the tools work
Nearly every tool runs entirely in your browser, so your text, grades and files are not uploaded. Details are in the privacy policy.
How we keep results accurate
- Every calculation (weighted grades, final-exam targets, expense splits, page ranges, word counts) is covered by automated tests, including randomized and edge-case tests.
- Citation tools never invent missing details. Missing author, date or publisher fields are flagged for you to fill in.
- PDF compression reports the real before and after file sizes, and says plainly when nothing could be saved.
- Estimates, such as words to pages, are labelled as estimates and show their formula.
How guides are written
Guides are written by the MicroTools Hub team from published style manuals and standard methods, each linked to the tool that applies it. They are general information, not professional advice, and your institution's own rules always come first. See the disclaimer.
Funding
The site is free to use. Advertising may be added in future to cover running costs. If it is, ads will be clearly labelled, kept away from tool controls and results, and will never be required to use a tool. See cookies & ads.
