Split or Extract PDF Pages
Pull the pages you need out of a PDF. Click page thumbnails or type ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10, keep them in the order you write them, and download one PDF. Or split the whole document into several files by ranges, or every N pages, and get them as a ZIP. Rotate pages if some are sideways. The tool refuses ranges that repeat a page or run backwards instead of guessing. Your original file is never changed and nothing is uploaded.
Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.
Drag and drop here, or choose a file. Up to 100 MB.
Pages keep the order you write. Listing a page twice is not allowed. You can also click pages below.
How pages and ranges work
Pages are numbered from 1. Write ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10. Pages are kept in the order you write them, a page listed twice in one file is refused instead of silently repeated, and a reversed range such as 5-2 is an error. Bookmarks and fillable form fields are not carried into the new files. Rotation applies only to the output; your original file is never changed. See also the merger.
How it works
- Choose a PDF. Thumbnails of its pages appear.
- Pick what you want to do: extract pages into one PDF, split into several PDFs by ranges, or split every N pages.
- Click pages or type the ranges. A message tells you how many pages or files will be made.
- Optionally rotate the selected pages, and set the output file name.
- Press the button to download one PDF, or a ZIP when there are several files.
Options explained
- Extract pages
- One output PDF made from the pages you select, in the order you write them.
- Several PDFs by ranges
- One file per line or semicolon, for example a chapter per file. A page may appear in more than one file.
- Every N pages
- Equal chunks, with a shorter last file if the pages do not divide evenly.
- Rotate
- Turns selected pages (or all pages) by 90 degrees in the output only.
Example
A 10-page file split every 4 pages gives three files of 4, 4 and 2 pages in a ZIP. Typing 8, 1-2 gives one PDF with pages 8, 1 and 2 in that order.
Tips for better results
- Write ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10. Pages are numbered from 1.
- Pages appear in the order you write them, so 5, 1-2 puts page 5 first.
- A repeated page, a backwards range or a page past the end is reported as an error, not guessed.
Limitations
- Page numbers start at 1. A page listed twice in one file, a backwards range such as 5-2 or a page past the end is an error.
- Bookmarks and fillable form fields are not carried into the new files.
- Thumbnails are shown for the first 60 pages. All pages still work through ranges.
- At most 200 files can be made at once.

Frequently asked questions
Does it change my original PDF?
No. It reads your file and creates new ones.
Can I split into one file per chapter?
Yes. Choose several PDFs by ranges and write each chapter's pages on its own line.
Will the pages keep their order?
Yes, in the order you write or click them.
Why is there a ZIP?
When more than one file is made they are bundled so you download once.
