Merge PDF Files in the Order You Choose
Combine several PDFs into one without uploading them. Add your files, drag them (or use the arrow buttons) into order, open a file to leave out pages you do not want, and check the final page order before you merge. The result opens in any PDF reader. You can name the output, and pass the merged file straight to the splitter or compressor without choosing it again. Everything is processed on your own device.
Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. A merged file passed to another tool stays in memory only.
Drag and drop here, or choose files. Up to 100 MB each. Files stay in your browser.
No files yet. Add at least two PDFs, then drag them (or use the arrow buttons) into the order you want.
Saved as merged.pdf
What is kept
Page content and link annotations on the pages are kept. Bookmarks (the outline) and fillable form fields are not carried into the merged file, and a digital signature would no longer be valid. See the splitter and compressor for related jobs.
How it works
- Choose or drop two or more PDF files.
- Drag files into the order you want, or use the Up and Down buttons.
- Open Choose pages from a file to exclude pages, using the thumbnails.
- Open Check the final page order to see every page in sequence.
- Set the output name and press Merge PDFs. The file downloads.
Options explained
- Choose pages
- Click a page thumbnail to include or exclude it. Include all and Exclude all are one click.
- Output file name
- The name is cleaned of path parts and characters that are not allowed in file names.
- What next
- After merging you can send the result to the splitter or compressor without selecting it again.
Example
File A has 3 pages and file B has 2. Exclude page 2 of A, put B first, and the merged PDF has 4 pages: B1, B2, A1, A3.
Tips for better results
- Check the order on screen before merging. The output follows it exactly.
- Open the result and flip through it to confirm every page is there.
- If a file is rejected, it may be password-protected or damaged. Remove the password and try again.
Limitations
- Page content and link annotations on the pages are kept. Bookmarks (the outline) and fillable form fields are not carried into the merged file, and a digital signature would no longer be valid.
- Password-protected or damaged files are rejected with a message. Remove the password first.
- Up to 50 files of up to 100 MB each. Very large totals may be slow or fail on phones.
- Thumbnails are shown for the first 60 pages of each file to protect memory. All pages still merge.

Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. They are read and combined in your browser.
Can I reorder individual pages across files?
You can reorder files and leave out pages. Page order within a file is kept.
Why did my bookmarks disappear?
The merge copies pages, not the outline. This is a known limit of how pages are combined here.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password in the program that created it, then add the file again.
